PROJECT MATTHEW 25:35
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me."
Project Matthew was developed by a group of our members in order to place Thanksgiving meals on the tables of the less fortunate in our community by providing the groceries necessary.
Our congregation brings in food and cash donations for several weeks leading up to Thanksgiving. Then we pack up the boxes, and use community resources to find those who need help who can come pick up their "meal in a box" including a turkey at a designated time and place. We have had a wonderful response!
Since 2008 this ministry has grown to feed over 125 families. It is our hope Project Matthew continues to grow so that we may be sure that no family in our community goes without a Thanksgiving meal in their own home with their own family.
